The DFB Pokal second round will take place on September 24th and two Bundesliga encounters will be one of highlights. FC Bayern Muenchen will host Hannover 96, while VFB Stuttgart travels to Freiburg. Super Cup winners Borussia Dortmund will travel to Munich for an encounter with 1860 Muenchen.
Bayer Leverkusen travels to Bundesliga 1 fixture Arminia Bielefeld, while Schalke 04 will be hosted by Darmstadt 98 of the third division. The DFB Pokal has its own rules of survival, but one thing is clear that at least two more Bundesliga clubs will be eliminated. Werder Bremen, Eintracht Braunschweig, Borussia Moenchengladbach and 1. FC Nuernberg were eliminated in the first round.
