Christine Sinclair, leader of the Canadian Women's Soccer Team has been selected by the Canadian Olympic Committee to be the flag bearer for the Canadian contingent during the closing ceremonies tonight. During the announcement, Christine said that she was proud of Canada and that she hoped that the Canadian Olympic team was able to inspire young Canadian and especially young female athletes.
“This is a huge honour and I wish I could have my teammates right here with me,” she said. “We want the next generation of young girls to dream of being in the Olympics and getting a medal around their necks.
