Bundesliga Matchday 16 Fixtures and Preview

As the Bundesliga approaches the halfway mark of the season one point separates the top three in the league.   Gladbach, in third place shares 30 points with Dortmund, while Munich has a one point lead in the top spot.

Gladbach will be meeting Augsburg, which has just two wins on the season with eight losses.  This should be an easy three points for Gladbach.  Dortmund hosts 16th placed Kaiserslautern, which has three wins and 7 losses after 15 games. FC Bayern Muenchen travels to Stuttgart on Sunday and should have the most difficult challenge to add another three points to its record.

Bayern, a team challenged with the flu and injuries, took on Manchester City on Wednesday with team that had seven regular players on the sidelines.   With what many called a B team, Bayern took a 2-0 loss, although the team was already qualified for the Group of 16 knock out round.

Fourth placed Schalke travels to Berlin for Friday's matchday 16 opener.  Schalke is just two points off the front runners.   Berlin will be a tough challenge.

To say the least, Matchday 16 should provide another exciting three days in the Bundesliga.  With no clear front runner, the field is wide open and nothing has been decided yet.
