Barclays Premier League Matchday 33 Fixtures and Preview

Premier League Matchday 33 got going early this week, with five games on tab.  Everton handily defeated Sunderland 4-0, while Newcastle overcame Bolton 2-0.  Tottenham gave up three points to Norwich, and gave Arsenal and opportunity to widen its lead in third spot on Wednesay when they visit the Wolves at Molineaux Stadium.   Aston Villa shared a point with Stoke, while Chelsea gave up 2 points at Craven Cottage.  That will leave Chelsea in sixth place at the end of this matchday.  Chelsea will have to do much better if they want to avoid getting lambasted by FC Barcelona on the 24th.

There is only one game on Tuesday, when Blackburn host Liverpool at Ewood Park.  This is a must win for both teams, but more critical for Blackburn to avoid relegation.  Both Manchester United and City play on Wednesday.  City hosts West Brom at the Etihad, while United travels to Wigan.  United currently holds a 9 point lead over the City rivals.  Arsenal take on the Wolves, with a chance to increase the two point gap over Tottenham and QPR is at Swansea.
